Nabokov's command of the English language really irritates me. He can create genius in a language other than his native language and here I can't even order a drink right after a year. I'll never understand it. But I'll keep reading.
I know - I could smack him. Kundera too. Not even just the two languages either; they're horribly, prolifically multilingual, the cretins.
